No one should have to suffer through freezing cold winters without heat or blazing hot summers without air conditioning because of the high costs of electric bills. Here at JW Pierson we want to make sure all our customers are safe and comfortable no matter what time of year it is. That is why we recommend reaching out to the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) if you need assistance paying for your heating bills this winter.
Low-income households can get help with their home energy bills through a federal program that LIHEAP provides. Depending on your eligibility you may qualify for regular and emergency benefits, heating repair or replacement benefits and clean and tune benefits.
Eligibility is based on household income prior to taxes, household size, your primary heating source and if your household includes someone under the age of six or someone who is permanently disabled. To receive assistance from LIHEAP in New Jersey you must be a New Jersey resident. You can check to see if you’re eligible based on your income by clicking here (link to https://njdca-housing.dynamics365portals.us/en-US/).

You are eligible if you are making qualifying improvements on your home, have good credit and are able to pay the loan back. The application to apply can be found here.
